Paul Nichols Dies: Veteran TV Publicist Was 76
Paul Nichols, a publicist who worked for stints at Group W, All American Television, Sony Pictures Television and Lippin Group, died Friday, March 14.
Born on March 22, 1948 in Wilmington, Delaware, Nichols graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1970 with a degree in broadcast journalism. During his years at the Lippin Group, Nichols helped launch Baywatch into first-run syndication and assisted in the branding of what would become one of the most successful syndie TV series. Paul Nichols is survived by his brother Robert and sister-in-law Denise, nephews Steve and James and niece Caitlin and four great-nieces.
