Paul Mescal was left very red-faced on Saturday when his attempt at doing an Australian accent hilariously backfired.

Russell, 60, famously won an Academy Award for his role as Maximus in Gladiator, which earned close to half a billion dollars at the box office. Earlier this month, Paul revealed he hasn't heard from Russell Crowe (pictured) since he scored the lead role in the long-awaited sequel to the 2000 blockbuster Gladiator Speaking on the Kyle Meredith with... podcast in June, the Beautiful Mind actor said he feels 'uncomfortable' about the new film, which he claimed he had 'no say in' because of his character's tragic death.
