Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones to Reunite for ‘Normal People’ Charity Screening
Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones will reunite for a special marathon screening of 'Normal People,' which will raise money for charity.
The two of them will attend the event, taking place June 16 at a Central London cinema, as well as director Lenny Abrahamson, producer Ed Guiney and other “friends from the show.” The series follows outcast Marianne (Edgar-Jones) and high-achieving Connell (Mescal) and their relationship throughout secondary school and in university at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Mescal made a splash with film roles in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s “The Lost Daughter,” Charlotte Wells’ “Aftersun” and Andrew Haigh’s “All of Us Strangers,” and is set to star in the upcoming “Gladiator” sequel as well as Richard Linklater’s film imagining of the musical “Merrily We Roll Along.” Edgar-Jones, on the other hand, had another starring TV turn alongside Andrew Garfield in “Under the Banner of Heaven,” earned critical acclaim for her role in the film adaptation of “Where the Crawdads Sing” and will next be seen in the remake of “Twisters” alongside fellow in-demand actor Glen Powell.
