Paul McCartney reached worldwide fame as a member of The Beatles and continued to gain fame with his solo career, Wings and more
McCartney stepped in as the de facto business manager of the group, proposing the band move forward to produce a film for TV which resulted in the Magical Mystery Tour. Along with his wife, McCartney formed another group including guitarists Hamish Stuart and Robbie McIntosh, keyboard player Paul “Wix” Wickens and drummer Chris Whitten. The following year, McCartney organized a concert for NYC following the events of 9/11 and released his studio album Driving Rain in November, which contained the song “Freedom” written in response to the attacks.
