Paul McCartney Prepping ‘Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run’ Book for Fall Release
Paul McCartney will release 'Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run,' a deluxe book detailing the history of his 1970s band, this fall.
He announced Wednesday that he will release a book, “Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run,” tracing the history of the group he helmed through most of the 1970s after the Beatles’ breakup. Widmer is a former White House speechwriter whose most recent book is “Lincoln on the Verge: Thirteen Days to Washington.” The book is being described as “drawn from over 500,000 words, based on dozens of hours of interviews with McCartney and numerous key players in the band’s orbit,” and includes more than 100 photographs.
