Paul Hogan has given his assessment on why Actress Margot Robbie was snubbed of an Oscar nomination.

The Crocodile Dundee star, 84, appeared on Sunrise on Friday in an interview conducted by his granddaughter, reporter Mylee Hogan. Robbie's omission prompted a wave of backlash after many expected her starring role in Greta Gerwig's Barbie - currently the highest grossing film of all time - to be acknowledged by the Academy board. Margot, 33, who was born and raised in Queensland , failed to make the cut in the category at this year's 96th annual Academy Awards , which will be held in Los Angeles on March 10
