Paul Giamatti Through the Years: ‘The Holdovers’ and More


Paul Giamatti is an A-list actor who made his debut on Broadway before starring in award-winning movies and TV shows

Bart was appointed as the president of Yale by his predecessor and served as the Major League Baseball Commissioner for five months before dying suddenly of a heart attack in 1989 at age 51. “But you didn’t want to shirk on making it feel like another time.” In 2023, Paul received critical and audience acclaim for his role in The Holdovers alongside Dominic Sessa and Da’Vine Joy Randolph. He also reunited with Payne in the coming-of-age film The Holdovers, in which he played Paul Hunham, a strict teacher at the Barton Academy boarding school who is forced to chaperone students with nowhere to go over Christmas break.
