Paul Feig Debunks ‘A Simple Favor 2’ Delay Rumors As “Total BS”

As fact-checking takes a hit on social media, a very reliable source is shooting down rumors of behind-the-scenes trouble on 'A Simple Favor 2'.

Director Paul Feig recently responded to a claim that the sequel has been shelved amid an alleged feud between stars Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, clarifying that the film is “coming out soon” and it’s “awesome.” “My friend, it’s called post production, which generally takes over half a year at least when you factor in editing, scoring, special effects, sound mixing, close captioning and all the technical quality control that has to be done,” wrote Feig. After Amazon Studios and Lionsgate previously announced the sequel in 2022, bringing back Feig, Kendrick and Lively, filming kicked off this spring, with original cast members Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho and Kelly McCormack also returning.
