Patti Scialfa, Bruce Springsteen ‘s wife and E Street bandmate, has revealed she was diagnosed in 2018 with multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer. Scialfa addressed her diagnosis in the new documentary “Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band,” which premiered on Sunday night at the Toronto Film Festival. In the film, a contemplative look at the rock legend and his tight-knit group of collaborators, she shared that her illness has made it difficult for her to perform and as a result, she’s taken a step back from touring.
