Patti LuPone Recalls 'Painful' 7-Year Relationship with Kevin Kline After Taking an 'Instant Dislike to Him'

Patti LuPone reflected on her relationship with ex Kevin Kline, calling it "painful" and admitting that they "fought all the time."

The Agatha All Along actress moved to Manhattan at 18 and "spent a year partying at discothèques" before joining the inaugural class of the drama division at the famed music school, according to the outlet. At the time, the drama program was run by the late actor-producer John Houseman, who died in October 1988 at age 86, the outlet stated, adding that Kline was one of three "advanced" students to join the class in LuPone's third year.
