Patrick Schwarzenegger Says ‘It’s Frustrating’ That People Think He Got His Role on The White Lotus Because of His Parents

Patrick Schwarzenegger reacted in new interview to critics who claim that he secured his starring role in ‘The White Lotus’ season 3 because of famous parents. The actor is the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.

The 31-year-old actor — who is the son of action star Arnold Schwarzenegger, 77, and Kennedy scion Maria Shriver, 69 — shared in an interview published in The Sunday Times on Feb. 23 that “it’s frustrating” when people judge him solely on his last name and not the work he’s put into his acting career. He later went on to go to college to earn an eventual business degree, while still taking on movie roles in 2012’s Stuck in Love and 2013’s Grown Ups 2. This season’s main cast also includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Lek Patravadi, Natasha Rothwell, Tayme Thapthimthong and Aimee Lou Wood.
