Patrick Dempsey Joins ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ In Series Regular Role
Patrick Dempsey has joined the cast of Showtimes' Dexter: Original Sin in a series regular role.
In the Dexter prequel series, Dempsey will play Aaron Spencer, the Captain of the Miami Metro Homicide department who has a decades-long relationship with Harry Morgan (Christian Slater). Dexter: Original Sin stars Patrick Gibson, who is taking over the titular serial killer role (in his younger years) made famous by Michael C. Hall in the Showtime mothership series. Dempsey is best known for his portrayal of Dr. Derek Shepherd on the hit ABC series, Grey’s Anatomy, which earned him a Screen Actors Guild Award and multiple Golden Globe nominations.
