Pat Sajak passed on the ‘Wheel of Fortune’ torch to Ryan Seacrest and praised Vanna White in a new promo for season 42
The TV personality became a staple of the small screen after taking over for original Wheel of Fortune host Chuck Woolery in 1981 and was joined by cohost Vanna White one year later. Sajak, who hosted Wheel of Fortune for 41 seasons from 1983, tells Seacrest, “I think what you’re going to enjoy most is meeting the players and getting to know the audience at home.” “A place where kids learned their letters, where people from other countries honed their English skills, where families came together along with friends and neighbors and entire generations,” he said.
