Paris Hilton, Rina Sawayama Embrace Their Independence on New Song ‘I’m Free’

Paris Hilton has enlisted Rina Sawayama for a new song, 'I'm Free,' from her upcoming second album, 'Infinite Icon.'

The song was inspired by Ultra Naté’s 1997 house hit, “Free,” which Hilton first heard at a New York City club not long after she was released from a Utah boarding school, where she said she was physically and mentally abused. Hilton announced Infinite Icon at the end of May, marking her first album in nearly 20 years (she’s yet to share an official track list). Over the next two decades, she released a handful of one-off singles, like 2013’s “Good Time” and 2015’s “High Off My Love.” She also appeared on tracks by Steve Aoki and Sia.
