For the first time in history, the opening ceremony will take place outside of a closed stadium, and will instead consist of a moving parade along the city’s famed Seine River. With the river and Eiffel Tower as the ceremony’s backdrop, it’s already amping up to be a flashy event, with Celine Dion set to perform and Lady Gaga rumored to take the stage. Not only will the NBC streamer stream every competition live but will also feature special exclusive coverage such as “Primetime in Paris,” hosted by Mike Tirico from Paris’ famed Trocadero; “Gold Zone,” which presents the “best and most compelling moments” throughout the day; and “Watch With Alex Cooper,” starring the podcast host and rotating special guests as they watch the games live.
