Parenthood star Mae Whitman gives birth to boy and names him after costar Miles Heizer


The Los Angeles-born actress, 36, captioned a post on the social media site: 'Not to be a Bieber about it but I too just gave birth to our son, Miles.'

She thanked Bente Kaiser, Caryn Fields, Moxie Birth and Huntington Health 'for guiding our little family through all the unexpected twists and turns safely and with love and grace and to everyone in our circle who has shown us such radical generosity and support.' Whitman played the sister of Heizer's character Andrew 'Drew' Holt on the NBC series, which also featured Lauren Graham, 57, Peter Krause, 59, and Dax Shepard, 49. Whitman received a number of congratulatory responses upon announcing the good news, as well as her naming her child after her longtime friend and costar.
