Paramount+ To Launch On South Korea’s Coupang Play


Paramount+ will launch on South Korea's Coupang Play.

Paramount Global Content Distribution has struck a licensing agreement with Korean e-commerce giant Coupang to launch a Paramount+ branded destination on the service. The local Paramount+-branded tile in Korea will offer content from Paramount+ with Showtime, CBS Studios, MTV Entertainment Studios, Nickelodeon, Republic Pictures and Paramount Pictures, including Dexter: Original Sin, the NCIS and CSI franchises, Fire Country, Halo, Star Trek: Discovery, The Affair and Tulsa King, along with kids shows such as Paw Patrol and films such as The Godfather, Forrest Gump and Pet Sematary. “Coupang Play has a deep understanding of their customers’ tastes and demand for critically acclaimed and fan favorite films, originals and television series and we’re happy to join together to create value for subscribers, licensees and us.”
