EXCLUSIVE: Details are starting to emerge about the major round of layoffs at Paramount Global today, which is impacting approximately 800 employees in the U.S. “To those with whom we are parting ways, we are incredibly grateful for your hard work and dedication,” Paramount CEO Bob Bakish wrote in a company memo at the start of the layoffs this morning. Like other traditional media companies, Paramount has been hampered by a slowdown in advertising as it navigates the transition from linear TV to streaming.
