Paramore, Now ‘Freshly Independent,’ Appointed as 2024 Record Store Day Ambassadors

The newly independent Paramore announced Saturday that they will serve as this year’s Record Store Day Ambassadors.

Paramore had fans nervous when they recently canceled shows and took down their website, but fear not: The newly independent band announced Saturday that they’re still together and this year’s Record Store Day Ambassadors. Paramore’s 20-year tenure at Atlantic Records concluded in 2023 with This Is Why, which just last week won a historic Grammy as the first-ever female-fronted act to take home Best Rock Album. Previous ambassadors include Taylor Swift, St. Vincent, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Jack White, and Jason Isbell & Amanda Shires.
