Palace issues King Charles health update as monarch continues to battle cancer

King Charles, 75, has been given the green light to return to a full programme of events in the UK and overseas next year in a health update, despite his ongoing cancer treatment

"May God bless this Ava," declared Charles, accepting the honour and acknowledging his health battle: "I shall always remain devoted to this part of the world and hope I survive long enough to come back again and see you." With an update on his health and plans for the future, a Palace spokesperson revealed: "We're now working on a pretty normal-looking, full overseas tour programme for next year, which is a high for us to end on, to know that we can be thinking in those terms." As they bid farewell to Samoa, Charles and Camilla took to social media to express their gratitude: "My wife and I would like to thank both nations for the warmest of welcomes and for the countless fond memories we will carry in our hearts for many years to come.
