News of her hiring comes on the heels of an ASC Award nomination for Ed Lachman, cinematographer of Fabula’s El Conde, as well as the naming of the company’s doc The Eternal Memory to this year’s Oscar shortlist for Documentary Feature. Stated Vilaro, “I am beyond excited to be joining Fabula, a company known for creative excellence and working with top-tier talent worldwide, to help expand their slate of English language, global-reaching content. Pablo Larraín’s latest feature, the dictator satire El Conde, was released on Netflix in September after world premiering in Venice, where it won the Golden Osella for Best Screenplay.
