Oui Production Invests In Momo Film Co’s ‘Black Sun’ Directed By Nelson Yeo — Cannes Market
At Cannes, Oui Production unveiled its investment in dystopian horror film Black Sun, directed by Singapore's Nelson Yeo (Dreaming & Dying).
Black Sun marks the first collaboration between Singapore’s Momo Film Co and Oui Production, with the latter founded by Chinese producer Huihui Lou, whose career has spanned Shanghai, New York, and now Paris. Black Sun is set in the time of an uninhabitable drought and follows Kai, who struggles with his retracting genital and his wife, Ling, who demeans him with this impotency. “Nelson’s singular vision and Momo Film Co’s dedication to bold, original filmmaking aligns perfectly with our mission to nurture diverse voices and cinematic innovation.”
