Oscars: Bosnia And Herzegovina Submits Danis Tanović’s ‘My Late Summer’ for Best International Feature Film Race


Danis Tanović previously enjoyed Awards Season success with Bosnia War drama No Man’s Land which won an Oscar and Golden Globe in 2002.

He broke out internationally with his Bosnia War inspired No Man’s Land which won he Oscar and Golden Globe for best foreign language film in 2002. He has also won the Berlinale’s Silver Bear for An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker(2013) and Death in Sarajevo(2016). The Oscar entry selection process was overseen by the Bosnian and Herzegovina Film Professionals Association and a commission consisting of director Nermin Hamzagić, casting director and production coordinator Narcisa Cvitanović, producer Amira Kudumović, screenwriter Melina Alagić and set designer Emina Kujundžić.
