Oscar-Winning ‘Last King of Scotland,’ ‘One Day in September’ Director Kevin MacDonald Signs With Cinetic Media (EXCLUSIVE)
'Last King of Scotland' and 'One Day in September' director Kevin MacDonald has signed with Cinetic Media for management.
MacDonald’s narrative feature, “The Last King of Scotland,” earned the best actor Oscar for Forest Whitaker for his chilling performance as Idi Amin. “Kevin’s ability to move fluidly, and at the highest level, between documentary and scripted storytelling and between directing and producing, make him a perfect fit for our multidisciplinary management initiative,” said John Sloss, Cinetic principal. Cinetic Media’s management practice represents directors, writers and producers, including Richard Linklater, David Gordon Green, Todd Haynes, Chris Smith, Aaron Schimberg and Vanessa McDonnell, Babak Jalali, Christine Vachon’s Killer Films, World of Wonder, Lana Wilson, Betsy West and Julie Cohen, Yance Ford, Matthew Heineman and Pete Nicks.
