Oscar-Nominated Composer, Radiohead Guitarist Jonny Greenwood “Out Of Danger After Medical Emergency”
The Oscar-nominated composer will return home soon, but The Smile tour with Thom Yorke has been cancelled.
Greenwood, who composed movie scores for The Phantom Thread, Spencer, There Will Be Blood and The Power of the Dog in addition to his longtime status as lead guitarist and keyboard player with Radiohead, will soon be returning home from hospital, but The Smile – which sees Greenwood on stage with Radiohead bandmate Thom Yorke – has cancelled forthcoming engagements. “A few days ago, Jonny became seriously ill from an infection that needed emergency hospital treatment, some of it in intensive care. We have been instructed by the medical team in charge of Jonny’s care to cancel all engagements until he has had time to make a full recovery.
