Oscar winner Olivia Colman turns 50! - 'I'm not a pin up but I do feel sexy'


With an Oscar and a host of BAFTAs to her name, Olivia Colman has achieved monumental success – as she turns 50 today we celebrate the career of a beloved British star

Ever since she hit our screens back in 2003 when she played the iconic Sophie in the cult comedy Peep Show alongside her Cambridge University pals Robert Webb and David Mitchell, we’ve been in awe of her ability to make us laugh and cry in equal measure. Talking about working with Phoebe Waller- Bridge on the quirky comedy that took the showbiz world by storm, Olivia said she’ll be “eternally grateful” for having the chance to play “the baddie”. Despite being one of the most sought-after talents in the acting world, it’s always been obvious that the thing that means the most to down-to-earth Olivia, who also played Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown, is her husband and family.
