Original Dumbledore Actor’s Son Questions HBO’s ‘Harry Potter’ TV Reboot: ‘Why Do It? The Films Were Fantastic. Leave Them Alone.’
Jared Harris, the actor and son of original Dumbledore actor Richard Harris, doesn't think "Harry Potter" should be rebooted into a TV series.
“Mad Men” and “Chernobyl” actor Jared was asked about playing Dumbledore during an interview on the The Independent series “Go to Bat,” to which he responded: “No, thank you.” Francesca Gardiner, who produced “Succession,” “His Dark Materials” and “Killing Eve,” is serving as showrunner of the new “Harry Potter” series. “For every role, please submit qualified performers, without regard to ethnicity, sex, disability, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other basis protected by law unless otherwise specifically indicated.”
