Wylleen May says she ‘fully cooperated’ with an investigation last year and denied ‘hurtful speculation’

Disney Wylleen May, who has worked on American Idol as an executive in charge of production since the series launched in 2002, has left the show – and she insists it has nothing to do with a recent HR investigation at the long-running reality competition. American Idol paved the way for reality competition shows to help everyday people achieve their dreams of music stardom. The series premiered in 2002 on Fox with a star-studded judging panel consisting of Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.
