Oprah Winfrey Celebrates Her Milestone 70th Birthday With a Jog on the Beach: Watch

‘The Color Purple’ star took to Instagram to ring in her 70th year around the sun with a fun video of herself running along the beach on January 29.

Rather than host a lavish party, the media powerhouse opted to spend some time at home and reminisced on her 70 years of life. She noted that she felt “such pressure from all my friends to do something big, something special; to have a dinner, a party or luncheon — or to go somewhere like a spa, a hike, a resort or to meditate in Nepal.” Ultimately, Oprah accepted to relax. '” Oprah then revealed that she spent time “going through old journals, photos, memory boxes, feasting, savoring and marveling at the discovery, pain, joy and wonder of 70 years of growing into the woman I am.”
