Only Fools and Horses fans left reeling as huge star signs for spin-off

Vinnie Jones is joining the cast - in one of the sitcom's smallest roles...

The movie baddie, known for films including Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Gone In 60 Seconds, will be part of the Only Fools cast for just 28 performances - from 17 December until 5 January - at London's Hammersmith Apollo. Vinnie explained: “I’ve always been a fan of Only Fools and Horses, and when my longtime friend Phil McIntyre called me up and said he was interested in me playing the role of Danny Driscoll, I told him to count me in." Oscar-winner Jim Broadbent was a regular on the TV show as hated cop Roy Slater, and film actor David Thewlis also popped up as a minor role in the mid-80s.
