Cheshire-born Lauren Hough is thought to take her name from the scandalous 1955 Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita about a middle-aged professor obsessed with an underage girl.
Fresh from his on-off 'close friendship' with Ellie Goulding, Tory peer Zac Goldsmith has a new pretty pop star in his orbit – a 28-year-old aspiring singer who calls herself Lilita. Lauren wore flared leather trousers, an oversized tie-dye puffer coat and platform boots while Zac dressed down in chinos and loafers. A poignant theme, perhaps, for Zac, whose close friendship with singer Ms Goulding has been troublesome for her marriage to art dealer Caspar Jopling.
