According to his agent Paul Doyle in a statement to The Associated Press on Thursday night, the 29-year-old died Wednesday at his home in Kingwood, Texas. Per the outlet, Shawn had been experiencing health issues and died of medical complications, but an official cause of death was not shared. If you don’t know, Shawn competed at the University of Akron, winning multiple NCAA indoor and outdoor championships in 2014 and 2015.
