Olympians Tom Daley and Rhys McClenaghan Debunk ‘Anti-Sex’ Bed Rumor Ahead of Paris Games

Olympians Tom Daley and Rhys McClenaghan shared videos debunking the rumors that their cardboard beds at the Paris Olympics are designed to be 'anti-sex.'

The Irish gymnast took to Instagram with a video of himself in his room at the Olympic Village, wearing only a pair of navy shorts and white socks as he jumped around on his bed to prove that it was sturdy despite being made of cardboard. The British springboard diver shared a close-up video of the furniture, knocking on the structure and lifting the mattress to show that it was, in fact, made of cardboard. “There is a desire to be very inclusive, we have awareness messages which revolve around the issue of consent and pleasure versus performance,” First Aid Coordinator Laurent Dalard said in a press conference.
