Olympian Katie Ledecky Through the Years: Gold Medals and More


Swimmer Katie Ledecky made her Olympic debut at the age of 15 and is the most decorated female swimmer in history

At the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, Ledecky won five gold medals and broke another two world records in the 400- and 1500-meter freestyles with times of 3:58.37 and 15:28.36, respectively. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she helped the U.S. team secure silver in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay alongside teammates Simone Manuel, Abbey Weitzeil and Dana Collmer. She led the Stanford team to its first title at the NCAA Championships since 1998 and became the first freshman in 35 years to receive the Honda Cup, an award that recognizes the nation’s top female collegiate athlete.
