Olly Alexander slapped down by Eurovision icon with 4-word statement as she reveals why UK won't win


Cheryl Baker, who won Eurovision in 1981 as part of Bucks Fizz, has given her verdict on the UK's act ahead of this weekend's grand final and says she hopes she's wrong

Cheryl, who won Eurovision in 1981 as part of pop band Bucks Fizz, sides with those bluntly claiming the tune is not strong enough to go all the way at Saturday's final, 11 May, and says if Olly wants to win, he must make some important changes with little over 48 hours to go. Speaking to the Mirror on behalf of Heart Bingo, she issued a blunt 4-word statement about what she thought of the song when she first heard it, saying: "OK, this is good." He then admitted: "I had a slight wardrobe malfunction - my mic pack fell off - and had to improvise but that's fine - it's live TV, it happens."
