Olivia Newton-John’s Daughter Chloe Carries ‘Piece of’ Late Mom in Her Voice: She’s ‘So Proud of Me’
Olivia Newton-John’s daughter, Chloe, is still mourning her mom’s death, but she exclusively tells Life & Style that she carries a ‘piece of’ her in her voice.
To honor what would have been her mother’s 76th birthday September 26, Chloe released her own song, “Phoenix,” telling Life & Style, “Both my mom and I have gone through a lot in our life and I wanted to write a song to make a promise to her that I would be happy, that I would speak my truth, that I would focus on myself, that I would shine the light that is so powerful and always there.” Adding that she’d shared her interest in the paranormal with her mom since she was a kid, Chloe admits that she was still surprised when, a week after Olivia’s death at her California ranch, she received what she says is a sign. The pair were extremely close, even as Olivia had a nine-year on-off relationship with Patrick McDermott, who mysteriously vanished during a 2005 fishing trip off California, and wed John Easterling in 2008.
