OG Maco’s Family Issues Statement on Rapper’s Attempted Suicide

In a statement, the family of the College Park rapper said he’s “receiving the best possible care.”

Georgia rapper OG Maco was hospitalized after reportedly attempting suicide last week, which his family has addressed in a new statement. The rapper’s manager, Poppa Perc, confirmed to AllHipHop last week that Maco, born Benedict Chiajulam Ihesiba Jr., was in recovery. In 2019, Maco revealed that he was battling a flesh-eating skin disease on his face called necrotizing fasciitis after he sustained a minor rash that was improperly treated.
