Obi Ndefo, Actor Known as Bodie on Dawson's Creek, Dies at 51

Actor Obi Ndefo has died, his sister shared in a post on Facebook on Aug. 31. The actor, known for his role as Bodie on 'Dawson's Creek,' was 51.

Following the announcement of his death, Mary-Margaret Humes, who played Dawson’s mom Gale Leery on the show, paid tribute to Obi on Instagram. Humes also shared a montage video of behind-the-scenes moments with Obi on the set of the show as the actor hugged Holmes, 45, during a rehearsal scene, and joked with Van Der Beek, 47, while filming outdoors. A GoFundMe page set up for Obi in 2020 raised over $200,000 to cover the costs of prosthetic legs for the actor and the remodelling of his Silver Lake home to be more accessible for him.
