Oasis original who was there when the band first got together says reunion was 'inevitable' despite Liam and Noel's decades-long feud
Katrina Russell, who worked for Creation Records at the beginning of Oasis' career, said she always knew Liam and Noel Gallagher would reunite.
She is the best friend of Meg Matthews, Noel's first wife, and also dated Robbie Williams and Steve Coogan before settling for a quieter life in Cornwall after being a famous 'It girl' in the 90s. Ms Russell met Alan McGee, Scottish music producer and co-founder of Creation Records who had just signed Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine and the Jesus and Mary Chain to his label and soon he would take on Oasis. Speaking of Liam and Noel's infamous bust-ups at the height of their fame, Ms Russell added: 'You had to hide under the desks sometimes when they were kicking off, but that was part of the charm.'
