O.J. Simpson Dead at 76 After Cancer Battle
He is survived by his five children.
"On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer," the statement reads. However, he is best known for his legal troubles, including his 1994 arrest for the murder of his then-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman. He famously was involved in a low-speed police pursuit in a white Ford Bronco SUV after failing to turn himself in to authorities, which became national news.
