Norwegian Royal arrested and charged with assault for 'attacking woman'
Marius Borg Hiby, 27, was arrested on Sunday night after an alleged attack on a woman in her 20s in an apartment in Frogner, Oslo, and taken into custody for over 30 hours
Norwegian magazine Se og Hr reported that Borg Hiby is accused of both 'psychological and physical' assault on the woman, who subsequently required hospital treatment for a concussion but was released early Monday morning. Marius Borg Hiby, who is Princess Mette-Marit's son from before her marriage to Crown Prince Haakon, whom she met in 1999, is now said to be staying at the Royal Skaugum estate with his mother, who is 50. The incident led to a change in Royal plans; Princess Mette-Marit was expected at the men's 1500-metre final at the Paris Olympics last night, but instead, Crown Prince Haakon attended solo, reports the Express.
