North West Wore Her Own Simba Costume for The Lion King Live Show — Complete with Furry Slippers

North West just portrayed Young Simba in 'The Lion King' live show on May 24 at the Hollywood Bowl. She wore a yellow hooded sweatshirt and furry slippers, which PEOPLE can confirm was not provided by the production.

North West ’s fun — and comfortable — costume for Disney’s The Lion King live-to-film concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles over Memorial Day weekend was all her own. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West ’s 10-year-old daughter performed as Young Simba in the May 24 and May 25 production, singing “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” from the animated film in honor of its 30th anniversary. The production at the Hollywood Bowl was not a staging of the Broadway show, but rather a performance of songs from the original film alongside the animated footage and appearances from cast members from the 1994 movie and the 2019 remake.
