Nonprofit Vet Cassidy Dimon To Lead FWD-Doc: Filmmakers With Disabilities, Org Dedicated To Championing Disabled Media-Makers And Ending Able-ism


Nonprofit vet Cassidy Dimon has been appointed executive director of FWD-Doc, an organization that advocates for disabled media-makers.

Dimon assumes her role immediately, leading an organization founded in 2020 that describes itself as “a global, intersectional community of over 1200 disabled creators and allies working in media to build a more inclusive, accessible, and equitable entertainment industry.” We are so excited for our members, supporters and collaborators to experience working with Cassidy, and together we will continue nurturing disabled, deaf and neurodivergent filmmaking talent, while advocating for a more equitable industry for all.” LeBrecht continued, “We want to express our gratitude to Interim Director Amanda Upson for her dedication and guidance as we’ve moved through our recent phase of growth and development.
