Noel Gallagher lived a champagne supernova lifestyle in a £2,500-a-night suite at the five-star Claridge's hotel in Mayfair while his bachelor pad was being refurbished after his divorce from Sara MacDonald

As a flamboyant and outspoken rocker, Noel Gallagher has never been one to do things by halves. So when he moved out of his family home after splitting with his wife, he was going to live swanky.

Breaking his silence on his divorce from former PR executive Sara MacDonald, the star revealed he booked into a £2,500-a-night suite at the five-star Claridge's hotel in Mayfair while he waited for his bachelor pad to be refurbished. Gallagher, whose hits with Oasis included Champagne Supernova and Wonderwall, said: 'I can get on the bike and go up to King's Cross, go down to the canal and get outside my wonderful ex-wife's house and give her a little wave – and go, "You didn't take this from me".' Speaking about reforming the 1990s band with his estranged brother Liam, 51, he added: 'If we were to come back, it would be like a heritage kind of thing, it could never be the same.
