Nineties soap legend making major TV comeback amid serial killer rumours
A soap legend who has appeared in Coronation Street, Crossroads, Emmerdale and comedy series Benidorm has announced she is returning to Hollyoaks and may have a serial killer storyline
Sherrie, who is best known for her roles as Maureen Holdsworth in Coronation Street and Joyce in Benidorm, originally joined the cast of the Chester-set drama in May 2024, playing Martha Blake. While Hollyoaks fans will be pleased to see Sherrie return, those who love her performance in Benidorm and hope to see character Joyce once again may have a much longer wait. Earlier this year, Benidorm creator Derren Litten admitted in an interview with the Daily Star that a comeback for the series was unlikely.
