Niecy Nash-Betts and Lena Waithe to Be Honored at Truth Awards (EXCLUSIVE)
Niecy Nash-Betts and Lena Waithe will be honored at the Better Brothers Los Angeles' Truth Awards.
The gala, which is co-presented by actor Sheryl Lee Ralph (“Abbott Elementary”) and her The DIVA Foundation, will return for its tenth year on March 30 to “celebrate trailblazing LGBTQ+ African-Americans and allies.” The gala will also pay homage to journalist Shar Jossell, rising actor Bre-Z, and influencer Tobias Gilbert, all three of whom will also receive special honors for “exemplifying excellence in their respective fields.” Sponsors for this year’s gala include Gilead, Atlantic Health Systems, Sony Pictures Entertainment, USC Race & Equity Center, National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC), Columbia University IRAAS and Walmart.
