The Search for Nicola Bulley aired on BBC One at 9pm on Thursday 3 October and saw the late mum's partner Paul Ansell speak out about the impact of the severe online trolling he endured after her disappearance
The Search for Nicola Bulley explored the chaotic world of social media speculation and the avalanche of theories from online wannabe sleuths during the hunt for the late mother. Nicola, who worked as a mortgage advisor and hailed from Lancashire, went missing on 27 January 2023 during a walk with her dog in St Michael's on Wyre after dropping her daughters off at school that morning. Before it aired, The Search for Nicola Bulley director Rachel Lob-levyt gave viewers a sneak peek into the documentary during an interview on BBC Breakfast last month.
