Nicky Jam ‘Renounces’ His Support for Donald Trump: ‘Puerto Rico Must Be Respected’


Nicky Jam is "renouncing" his support of Donald Trump for president, the reggaetón star said in a social media post on Wednesday (Oct. 30).

Nicky Jam is no longer supporting Donald Trump for president, the reggaetón hitmaker announced on Wednesday (Oct. 30) in a video he uploaded to his Instagram page. Nicky Jam, who is of Puerto Rican descent, was among a few reggaetón acts who had endorsed Trump, including Anuel AA and Justin Quiles. On Sunday (Oct. 27), comedian and podcaster Tony Hinchcliffe described Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage” at a Donald Trump rally in Madison Square Garden.
