NHS will now treat 7 common illnesses without GP appointment in major overhaul
NHS surgeries are now able to treat a number of illnesses without an appointment, thanks to the NHS Pharmacy First scheme, meaning you may not need to see your GP
This is part of the NHS Pharmacy First scheme, where pharmacists across England can provide prescription-only medications for seven common health conditions without patients needing to see a GP. Sounding the alarm, the UK Health Security Agency advised people to stay home for 48 hours if they contract the highly infectious GII.17 strain of norovirus. It's especially vital for those at heightened risk, like young children and older individuals or those with weakened immune systems, to stay hydrated if they fall ill to avoid dehydration.
