NHL's Emil Heineman Hit By Car While Walking in Downtown Salt Lake City


Montreal Canadiens star Emil Heineman will be off the ice for weeks after he was struck by a car in downtown Salt Lake City

Heineman, 23, was struck by a vehicle at 2:55 p.m. local time on Monday, January 13, according to a statement from the Salt Lake City Police Department. Heineman was not listed in the lineup and the team announced the forward is expected to miss up to a month due to the injuries he sustained as a result of the incident. Forsberg, 30, and the Nashville Predators lost in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs this spring, crashing out in six games against the Vancouver Canucks on May 3.
